Newfound Gravels Blanc 750ml

Appearance: Light. Nose: Aromatic. Taste Profile: Elegant. Finish: Long. The Napa Valley Semillon comes entirely from the Yount Mill Vineyard, a historic vineyard site in the Napa Valley. Just north of the town of Yountville, the 273-acre planting has been in the Pelissa/Hoxsey Family for four generations. It currently stands as the largest organically farmed vineyard in the Valley today, a practice that was adopted at the site in 1987. The Semillon is unique amongst the surrounding vines as it’s the last remaining block, planted by Andrew Hoxsey’s grandfather, Andrew Pelissa in 1962. It’s also the lone head trained dry farmed section of vineyard and planted on an alluvial mix of gravel and clay. Currently, the Semillon occupies just six acres in the overall planting.
