Grapes for this delicate Chardonnay come from two Santa Barbara County Vineyards. Cat Canyon Vineyard’s hillier blocks in the Los Alamos area and Santa Maria Valley’s North Vineyard – two cool sites influenced by the Pacific. With the addition of 3.5% Chenin Blanc, the floral and lanolin notes are appealing on the aromatics and play a role in texturizing a creamy palate. Aged sur lie, along with French oak and partial ML, there’s body, acidity and balance of fruit that keeps it within a framework of ripe pear, pineapple and lemon verbena.
