Update on cyber incident
January 22, 2025
To our customer:
Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding as we continue our recovery from the cyber incident that occurred on January 7. We conducted a lengthy investigation into the event and have some information to share with you.
As stated last week, there was no access to personal or financial information from an employee, customer or partner perspective. At the tail-end of the investigation, it was determined that an internal business directory was accessed.
The information consisted of business email addresses (i.e.: name.name@anbl.com,) and business phone numbers of some of our external partners and our employees, none of it personal or financial information and much of it already publicly available. No public customer information was accessed.
ANBL takes its responsibility to the public, our partners, and our employees very seriously. Out of an abundance of caution, we have notified all affected parties and advised them to be extra vigilant regarding phishing attempts. We have also, as a courtesy, notified the Office of the Ombud of New Brunswick.
Thank you for following and sharing our updates, and we're happy to be back to normal customer service.
